Our Story

The Daughters of St. Francis de Sales is a Religious Missionary institute founded in Italy in 1972. Venerable Fr. Carlo Cavina, an Italian Diocesan priest, founded the congregation as a response to the impending need of the then Italian society which was torn apart due to war-related upheavals.

The charism of the congregation is to serve God and humanity by becoming women inflamed by the love of God, in tune with the Salesian Spirituality. St. Francis de Sales, patron of the congregation, attracted many to the love of God through his indomitable spirit of humility, gentleness and love.

Today the congregation continues his legacy through various missionary and apostolic endeavors — Education, Health Care, Social Service, Women Empowerment, Education for the Physically Challenged, and Eldercare.
